Quick Pasta Sauce

  • 1 can tomato paste
  • 2 cloves garlic crushed
  • 2 tbls. olive oil
  • 4 cans tomato sauce
  • 1 pkg. fresh basil chopped
  • 1 pkg. fresh oregano chopped
  • 1 shallot chopped
  • salt & pepper


  • Lightly brown the garlic and saute the onion in the olive oil over medium heat. Add the tomato paste to make a stock. Add remaining ingredients and simmer for at least 15-30 minutes. Variations include adding browned ground beef, Italian sausage, cream cheese.
