Ingredients
  

Seasoning & Herb Blend

  • 1 tbls ground black pepper
  • 1/2 tbls garlic salt
  • 1 tbls seasoning salt
  • 1/2 tbls onion powder
  • 1 tbls poultry seasoning
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh sage
  • 2 tbls fresh rosemary chopped
  • 2 tbls fresh thyme chopped

Baste/Injection

  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 1/2 tbls Grand Mariner
  • 1 1/2 tbls. brandy

Instructions
 

  • Create the seasoning and herb mixes by combining their ingredients. The night before you cook you the turkey rub the seasoning all under the skin of the breasts and over the skin of the turkey. Rub the herbs under the legs, wings and inside the cavity.  Before you put the turkey in, create the baste and inject half of it into the turkey, baste the skin and reserve the remainder to baste the turkey throughout the day.
