Ingredients
  

  • 2 packages of fresh black eyed peas
  • 2 fresh jalapeno peppers diced
  • 1 medium white onion diced
  • 3-4 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 T. cilantro chopped
  • 6 C. water*3 chicken bouillon cubes
  • 6-8 slices salt pork
  • 1 T. black pepper
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper
  • *can be replaced with 3 C. prepared chicken broth and 3 C. water.

Instructions
 

  • Add all ingredients together(minus bouillon) to a boil. Add bouillon. Reduce heat and simmer for 3-4 hours.
